XVI SPHINGOLIPID CLUB MEETING

SAVE THE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Sphingolipid Club, the first association focused on sphingolipids, is pleased to announce its upcoming XVI International Meeting, to be held in the charming coastal town of Supetar on the island of Brač, Croatia, next September 22-26, 2026, chaired by Dragana Fabris and Ivana Karmelić from the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine.

The Meeting will continue our successful tradition, initiated in 2001, where senior scientists and young researchers from around the world have periodically met to share their findings and foster collaborations based on common interests and expertise in the fascinating Sphingolipid world.

We are confident that you will be able to participate and contribute your most recent findings on sphingolipids, including glycosphingolipids and gangliosides, in health and disease. The program will cover a diverse range of research areas, including chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical studies.

In addition to the scientific sessions, the congress program will be enriched with social and cultural events, excursions, and visits to breathtaking locations on one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean.

For the success of the Meeting, we warmly encourage young researchers to take an active role. To recognize and support their contributions, travel grants will be awarded to the presenters of the most valuable talks.

In a few months, we will forward the second announcement. Do not hesitate to contact us by email at info@sphingolipidclub.com for comments, questions, requests.

Looking forward to seeing you in Supetar, Brač, in 2026!
