The SLC governance has been enriched with the constitution of a Board of National Delegates, aimed to extend the platea of our members, to organize National sphingolipid days or small conferences, and to coordinate grant applications, where the official presence of different countries is required.

The Sphingolipid Club and Neuromed are offering two awards for young researchers (PhD and postdocs) presenting their work as poster or oral communication focused on “Sphingolipid signaling in Cancer”, at the next XIV Sphingolipid Club Meeting, held on Sept 7-11, 2022 in Pozzilli.

One of these Awards is possible thanks to the generous contribution of Prof. Myles Cabot, a close friend of Prof. Kester.

Registration deadline postponed and late Registration

We have postponed the deadline for Registration to June 30, 2022, in order to allow people to register and not to pay the 100 € late registration supplement, that will be applied after July 1st, 2022.

Abstract presentation guidelines

On the first week of July, we will mail to all participants the guidelines for Abstract presentation, either as oral communications or posters. The deadline for submitting Abstracts is July, 30, 2022.

Provisional program

A provisional program of the Meeting, hopefully almost definitive, will be forwarded to all the participants during the first half of August.

Flight schedule

Those who have reserved the shuttle service from Naples airport to the Hotel on Sept. 7 will be asked to mail their flight schedule, including flight number, provenience and expected arrival time at Naples.

SECOND SYMPOSIUM OF THE ITALIAN SECTION OF THE SPHINGOLIPID CLUB

On last March 29-30, 2022 the Italian Section of the Sphingolipid Club has held in-presence its second Symposium, at the Etruscan Chochohotel, Perugia, with the title “New frontiers of the Sphingolipids“.

We had 37 active participants, including senior and young researchers, coming from the Universities of Perugia, Milan, Bologna, Brescia, Pisa, Florence, Turin, Salerno, Naples, and from some prestigious research institutions, the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Besta, Milano and Neuromed, Pozzilli. The level of the presentation, in oral form, was extraordinary high and and the discussion was greatly participated.

The Sphingolipid Club wishes that other national Sphingolipid Club sections could be interested in organizing such kind of Symposia and is pleased to give all the organizative support.
